FIA GT: Considerable improvement for Tomas Enge and Aston Martin - 19.10.2008

Tomas Enge and Stefan Mücke showed a major improvement at Zolder today. Their qualifying time wit factory Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT2 would be good enough for fourth place in the GT2 class. The team however entered the race in G2 class, as it is only second start in the FIA GT championship and the car is still in the early phase of its development. Like previous race at Nogaro also the Belgian round of the FIA GT championship is primary a test for the Czech-German crew.

Tomas Enge: “We have seen today that we are much more competitive than during our debut at Nogaro. It seems that our technicians did the right modification. Of course, our factory Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT2 is a new car and there are still things to improve but today’s qualifying result is a reason for delight. Stefan did the qualifying today as was planned – I did it at Nogaro, he did in Zolder. The same applies for races. I will start the race, Stefan will do the middle stint and I will finish it.”
