LMS: Enge and Garcia on podium at Spa - 11.05.2008

Third place and solid points got Tomas Enge at Spa Francorchamps today. Together with Antonio Garcia finished third in the GT1 class. They started from the pole position and led the race in the early phase. However, they lost two laps during the first stop after the alternator belt of their Team Modena Aston Martin DBR9 went down.

Tomas Enge: “We had a trouble start from the pole position and led the first hour. Antonio drove very well. However, we found out during the first stop that the alternator belt falled down. The car had to be pushed to the garage for the repair. We lost approximately two hours. We were quick again afterwards but it was not enough to get better. It was quite demanding weekend with technical problem – gearbox on Friday and alternator today. At least we got third.”
