LMS: Enge and Garcia on the pole at Spa - 10.05.2008

Tomas Enge and Antonio Garcia claimed the second pole position of the GT1 class in the current Le Mans Series season after they won qualifying at Spa Francorchamps. This time Garcia did the qualifying run and used it to perfection. Team Modena Aston Martin DBR9 was convincingly fastest. The drivers are fourth in the driver standings and the team is third in the team classification.

Tomas Enge: “We are very happy today after we had to cope with technical gremlins yesterday. The car worked very well already in the last practice. It was Antonio’s time to drive the qualifying and he just confirmed that the car is perfect after the gearbox repair. It is our second pole position out of three qualifying, so we are satisfied.”
