LMS: Enge and Garcia second on Friday - 09.05.2008
The second fastest time out of the two free practices set the Czech-Spanish crew Tomas Enge and Antonio Garcia at Spa-Francorchamps today. The Spanish driver clocked the time during his four laps that he managed to do behind the wheel of an Aston Martin DBR9 of the Team Modena. He had to stop with a gearbox problem afterwards. The team did not take part in the second session. The whole team have been focused on the proper repair that would allow both drivers to participate in the tomorrow’s practice.
Tomas Enge: “We were unlucky today. A gearbox problem stopped us in the first session, so my team-mate Antonio Garcia managed to do only four laps and I was not out on the track at all. The repair of the gearbox was quite complicated and we did not want to do it in a hurry and therefore we decided to skip the second session as well. Our focus is now on the last practice tomorrow and also on the qualifying. However, the most important thing is to have a reliable car in the race.”
